Pelo Leather’s pride is our vegetable-tanned sheath leather, which we have been making for decades and decades.
Developed in collaboration with Finnish knife sheath makers, our hard-wearing sheath leather is in a league of its own in terms of its properties, making it a highly appreciated material. To make it, we use a traditional vegetable tanning method that retains the natural qualities and excellent workability of the leather.
Our vegetable-tanned sheath leather is ideal for crafting knife sheaths, folding-knife sheaths, belts and handbags. It also lends itself beautifully to embossing and engraving.
